During the trade shows Garden Trials and Trade in Boskoop (June) GrootGroenPlus in Zundert (October) and Plantarium in Boskoop (August) plant trials are performed by the KVBC.
From 2020 onwards the show trail in June is called the KVBC Spring Challenge and the one in August the KVBC Summer Challenge.
Difference with field trial
In contrast to the field trials, the trade show trials concern a random indication. The plants are mainly assessed visually with as much background information taken into account as possible. Application for these trials are conducted via the fair organizations. The awards are given in the form of medal certificates.
